Engaging with the community to improve Leeds council services

Client

Leeds City Council required a partner to manage their Community Engagement Supplier Framework where the council engages with the diverse communities that make up the city, using a variety of methods.

Outcome

We've operated the Community Engagement Supplier Framework contract on behalf of Leeds City Council since 2005. Our numerous reports have enabled the council to adjust and focus their services around the community and to increase their uptake.

Method

Leeds has a population of over 750,000 and at any one time, we're talking to some of those who live and work there – users of specific services, young people, community groups, the disabled, businesses and so on. Our work ranges from classic market research surveys and user focus groups through to community capacity building and e-consultation.

Successful projects have included housing for the elderly, recycling, early years services, contact centre use and many more.
